Summer is a time for fun, relaxation, and enjoying beautiful weather. While this summer is undoubtedly looking a little different than in the past, you can still squeeze every ounce of fun out of it as possible! At GiftWorksPlus, we thought we’d share some of our favorite ways we’ve been making the most of the summer with our family and loved ones, even while social distancing!

Top 5 Summer Relaxation Tips

  1. Mini road trip! We’ve all gotten a little stir crazy from staying home, and if your summer vacation plans have been cancelled, you’re likely feeling a little blue. Try taking a short day trip to a beautiful hiking spot to stretch your legs and get some fresh air.
  2. Have a zoom cook out! Pick up the fixings for some delicious new recipes and set up the patio for a video call with friends or family. Fix yourself a nice picnic and cocktail and do a virtual toast to the summer!
  3. Create a spa at home! Is your favorite spa closed down? Not a problem! Order some bath salts, massage oil, face masks, candles and more. Put on some relaxing music and treat yourself to a nice spa experience from the comfort of home.
  4. Game night! We know we’ve said it before, but nothing can ease the tension like a game night with family and friends. If you’re quarantining solo, there are still ways to play games with friends while social distancing. Games like Battleship, Pictionary, and Charades are great options to play over video chat!
  5. Start planning for next year! Canceling plans can be disappointing. But the perfect remedy? Coming up with even bigger and better plans for the future! Get all your close friends on a call and start planning an incredible summer trip to give you something to look forward to for next year!
