Aren’t we all ready for a little summer right now? Spring has been up and down but it seems like things are finally warming up, and we at GiftWorksPlus are here for it! This summer is especially exciting because it marks the return of public sporting events. To celebrate, we’ve compiled a list of Midwestern sporting events to get your summer off to a great start.

Midwest Summer Sporting Events to Check Out

  • Baseball Games. The Midwest is home to teams such as the Twins, the Brewers, and of course the White Sox. Imagine how great it will feel to be back at the ball game eating a hot dog and peanuts. And, of course, we also have to mention our favorite minor league teams as well: The St. Paul Saints and Madison Muskies. Those two are always fun to watch (plus it’s way cheaper than major league games!).
  • Soccer Games. Soccer is a game that so many kids understand and have participated in at one point or another. Professional soccer teams are becoming more and more popular in the Midwest. Check out a game at Allianz Field in St. Paul to see the MN United play!
  • Basketball Games. Have a basketball lover in the family? Luckily, basketball season doesn’t just end with the NBA. Check out the MN Lynx or the Chicago Sky to see some fantastic basketball players. It’s also a perfect activity for a day when you’re looking to do something fun but the weather isn’t ideal.
  • Golf Tournaments. The 3M Open happens every year in Blaine, MN and this year is from July 19th to the 25th. If you have an avid golfer or golf fan in your family or friend group, they will no doubt love this event. Golf legends have come to play in this tournament for years -- you may even get an autograph or photo!

Get the gang together and check out your favorite athletes in action while you eat, drink, relax, and make the most of your summer! While you’re out, make sure to take some pictures and then check out our sports themed photo frames on our website. These picture frames can be customized with your favorite team’s name as well as the year. Take a look and see which ones hit a home run!
