One of the first steps in displaying your picture masterpieces is choosing the right picture frames. If you’re here, it’s likely that you plan to frame your photos with personalized wood picture frames found at www.GiftWorksPlus.com. But once you have just the right GiftWorksPlus custom wooden frame, what next?
When you have your photos framed, the next step is hanging them on the wall. Here are a couple of our favorite tricks and tips from Bob Vila, the home-improvement guru.
When hanging picture frames, it is important to have your tools ready. Some of the basic tools are templates, painter’s tape, a tape measure, and a level. Make true-to-scale templates of each picture on newspaper or butcher paper. Create an arrangement of multiple photo frames by taping the templates on your wall, and change it up until you find an arrangement you like. Be sure to measure between picture frame templates to make sure the arrangement is balanced.
Next, pull out that picture-hanging kit with screws and anchors, wire, and hooked wire hangers. Choose your fastener and place it in the wall using the spacing determined with your template map. If you place a folded sticky note under the hole, it will catch most, if not all, of the drywall dust.
Finally, use the level, a bubble one or a laser level, to make sure the picture frames are hanging straight and true.
