While the Midwest is known for many things, many aren’t aware of what a fantastic arts scene we have here! Of course, Chicago is known for a thriving music scene, but we wanted to shine a spotlight on some exciting music events coming up in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Here are some of the events that we are most excited about:

Midwest K-pop Festival

K-pop has grown from a niche interest to a massive community in the United States. Now fans from all over are coming to Northrop auditorium in Minneapolis for the K-pop Festival! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 18th and pick up your tickets on Northrop’s website. 

James Taylor and Jackson Browne

This December, the one and only James Taylor and his all-star band will be joined by special guest Jackson Browne at the Wells Fargo arena in Des Moines. This is one concert that all classic rock fans will not want to miss!

Summerfest

Summerfest in Milwaukee has an incredible lineup this year with everyone from Fall Out Boy, to Chance the Rapper, to Sheryl Crow, and even comedian Dave Chappelle! Check out their full lineup and order your tickets today! 

Flogging Molly & Violent Femmes

Punk rockers will definitely want to come out to Miller High Life Theatre in Milwaukee on October 22nd. Flogging Molly and Violent Femmes will be joined by special guests Me First and The Gimme Gimmes as well as Thick for a concert you won’t want to miss. 

Mississippi Valley Blues Festival

Blues lovers of all ages need to mark their calendars for this one! Come see John Primer, Eric Gales, Melody Angel, Selwyn Birchwood, and many more the weekend of September 17th and 18th at LeClaire Park in Davenport, Iowa. 

Lizzo
