Thanksgiving 2020 is coming up quickly, and if you’re wondering how to celebrate this year without being able to gather with family, you’re not alone!

While we all wish we could get together, as usual, and have our regular celebrations, the recent spike in Covid-19 cases is causing many to reconsider their plans. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t find a great way to celebrate and show your appreciation for loved ones, especially grandparents.

This week at GiftWorksPlus, we're sharing 5 ways to make this Thanksgiving more meaningful than ever before with loved ones.

How to Show Your Grandparents Some Gratitude

  1. Pay a Drive Up Visit: Whether your grandparents are living in their home or in a senior living facility, there is no doubt that it will mean a lot to them if you surprise them with a drive-up visit. If they're quarantined in their house, stop outside and have a drive-way visit. If they're quarantined in a senior home, make some signs and surprise them outside their window!
  2. Schedule Visit Times Throughout the Day: If the whole family is quarantined separately, you can all visit and chat with your grandparents in shifts. Fitting the whole family into one zoom call can be a bit tricky, especially if everyone is talking over one another. If you schedule phone calls or Zoom calls or even drive up visits in shifts then your grandparents will get to enjoy the whole day with their family while you continue to maintain social distancing.
  3. Make a Thanksgiving Memory Package: Celebrating Thanksgiving in a different way can give you an opportunity to remember past Thanksgivings and share those memories with each other in a creative way. Send your grandparents a memory package with pictures, treats, or even home videos from past Thanksgivings.

If you want to personalize the package even more, put your photos in one of our Thanksgiving themed frames! They can be customized with dates, names, designs and even more to help keep the memories alive!

We also offer family frames and plenty of other holiday frames that will make thoughtful and unique gifts for grandparents this season. Browse our collection today and have a safe, happy Thanksgiving!
