Snow-Themed Custom Photo Frame
As we get towards the end of February, the weather has become a bit less brutal – and we are definitely not complaining! This means we are free to get out and about and enjoy what’s left of the winter weather, minus the frostbite.
For photography buffs, wintertime provides some stunning photo opportunities! Catching the glistening snow on camera, whether on its own or as a backdrop for photos of family or friends, makes for a beautiful shot. That’s why we have custom photo frames in all types of themes. Family frames, travel frames, photo frames for different hobbies, and so much more! But if you’re excited to start snapping pictures of the winter wonderland, we thought we might provide some tips on how to get the best shot possible.

  1. First and foremost – keep batteries warm! The camera is no good if the battery is dead, and when batteries are exposed to very low temperatures, they can lose their power.
  1. When you move to a warm location, be careful to keep the camera lens from fogging. Place the camera in its case with the lens cap on before heading indoors.
  1. Adjust the exposure. To capture the snow and the light that reflects off it, you’ll need to adjust the exposure accordingly. Otherwise, the snow can turn out grey in the photos.
  1. As always, try to get outdoors during the sunrise or sunset for the best natural lighting. Around mid-day, the light can get so bright it just ends up looking harsh. When the sun is just peeking over the horizon, you’ll get light that is bright enough for great photos but not too severe.
